Driving into downtown Portland on the weekends during the summer is similar to weekday rush hour traffic. Summer is here and so are people of on vacation and visiting the local area. The roads are freeways are packed with cars - and on some weekend days the fairways and greens at Tri Mountain are also packed with golf cars & golfers.
Our facility has had some very busy weekends over the month of June and we can see this trend moving into July and August. Our facility is easy to get to, conditions are very good and the green fee rate and specials are perfect for this facility in this area of the country. Local Golfers taking some vacation days over the next few months along with golfers visiting the area will be coming out to Tri Mountain Golf Course.
With this brought to the golfers attention - please lets think pace of play on busy days. Be ready to hit and play ready golf, we are here for fun, so have fun and stop grinding over 2 foot putts or having to find that ball in the tall grass area - let it go. Our pace on the front 9 with a few longer par 4's and only one par 3 is 2 hours and 20 minutes. Our pace on the back nine after a visit to the club house is 2 hours. Tri Mountain's Pace of Play is 4 hours and 20 minutes for 18 holes on days that average 160 to 220 golf rounds.
Need a faster round of golf - call ahead and get your tee time early in the morning. July and August tee times start at 6 AM, if you get up early and get one of the first couple of tee times through 6:30ish your group should play in under 4 hours.
Golfers we can all assist and respect each others time at any golf course you visit this busy summer season packed with golf cars & golfers. Enjoy this summer on the links, as soon it will be winter and no pace of play problems.
